All full-time employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, and Vision benefit options after 30 days of employment. Other benefits require 90 days of employment before eligibility. Enrollment will not be available beyond the 30 days of initial employment. There are exceptions in the event of a qualifying event, or during the annual open enrollment period. All benefit enrollment costs are deducted through weekly payroll deductions. Adhesives Research pays 70% of the cost of medical, hospital & vision insurance. AR Associates pay 30% of the cost. - Most Preventative maintenance (Cleanings, oral examinations etc.) is paid at 100%
- Fillings and other standard dental procedures are paid at 80%
- Bridges and dentures and other complex procedures are paid at 50%
- Orthodontia is paid at 50%
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Associates may contribute pre-tax dollars to either a Medical Care FSA or a Dependent Care FSA. Money in these accounts may be used to pay for:
- Medical, Dental and Vision expenses NOT covered by insurance
- Day care expenses incurred for dependent children
Company Paid Benefits (no charge to the associate):
AR associates are eligible for company paid benefits after 90 days of employment.
Group Term Life Insurance & Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage
2x Annual Earnings (excludes Bonuses and Profit Growth), rounded to the next $1,000.

- Maximum $400,000
Short Term Disability (STD) (Eligibility after 90 days of employment)
Provides 85% pay continuation for Hourly associates and 100% pay continuation for salaried associates who are unable to work due to non-work related illness or injury. Benefits begin on the 1st day of hospitalization or the 6th work day of a medical absence. Coverage is available for up to 90 days (12 work weeks).
Long Term Disability (LTD) (Eligibility after 90 days of employment)
Provides 60% of the associate’s monthly earnings until age 65, or when the associate returns to work.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) (Eligibility after 90 days of employment)
AR recognizes that personal problems affecting the associates or family members can be damaging to an Associate’s performance on the job. The EAP has been established for AR Associates, and family members to receive confidential assistance for any personal problem, regardless of its nature or cause.
3 Retirement Plans:
Pension Plan (Defined Benefit)
New associates may enroll in the plan effective January 1 on the following year. Associate contributes 2.25% of their gross compensation each pay. In return the Plan will pay a benefit equal to 1.75% of each year’s gross compensation for each year of participation. The Pension Plan requires a 5 year cliff vesting.
401K Plan
New associates will automatically be enrolled in the 401k plan after 30 days of employment. Associates may contribute up to $15,500.00 on a pre-tax basis. AR will match 35% of the first 6% contributed by the associate (maximum 2.10% match). The 401 k Plan has a 3 year cliff vesting.
Employee Stock Bonus Plan
New Associates are eligible July 1st of the following year, only if the associate is employed for 6 months prior to July 1st, or has worked a total of 500 hours (which ever is first). Adhesives Research, Inc. Stock will be allocated (when available) to associates as a percentage of their eligible compensation. This plan is fully funded by the Company. The ESBP is designed to give AR Associates an indirect stock ownership interest in the Company. The ESBP plan requires a 3 year cliff vesting.

AR has provided full-time hourly associates with a benefit of (4) paid personal days annually. This PTO is available after one year of service.
Vacation
Associates are offered 2 weeks (10 days) of paid vacation time. Vacation time is prorated. AR associates are eligible for additional vacation time according to the following schedule:
