The Flying Splice - Sawtooth Pattern
1. Apply ARclad® 555 trapezoid tabs to the web as a tab.
2. Use the trapezoid edges as a guide to apply the splicing tape.
3. The result will be an angle strip of ARclad® double-faced tape in a sawtoothed or "W" pattern.
4. Rub the splicing tape to provide a smooth surface free of gaps.
5. Continue with the same process across the entire web.
6. If necessary, a piece of tape can be applied perpendicular to the web at the center of the "V" for additional adhesive coverage (see Option 2).
7. Remove the paper between the sawtooth using the release liner as guide.
8. Remove the release liner immediately before making the flying splice.
