How To Overlap Splice

The Overlap Splice

1. Apply an ARclad® double-face tape at a 10° angle across the face of the roll. Wrap tape around the roll's edges to stabilize loose sheet.

2. Rub tape from center to outer edges with a metal squeegee held at a 45° angle for maximum adhesion. Crease excess paper with squeegee and remove tail.* Leave a narrow tail (1/8" - 1/4") of paper next to the tape edge.

3.
Rub tape from center to outer edge with a metal squeegee. Remove liner and adhere web to the exposed tape. Rub splice from center to outer edges to remove wrinkles.

4.
Finish splice by removing excess paper, leaving a tail of 1/8" - 1/4". Be sure to trim excess tape from the ends of the splice.
