Our Stories

Working at Adhesives Research gives me the opportunity to serve in a supporting role in all areas of operations of the company. From reviewing and approving new chemicals for product development to managing the safe disposal of our hazardous waste, my job provides a continuous educational experience. The people here at AR have always been helpful and willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve and exceed our safety and environmental goals. It has been very rewarding to see the results in incident and injury reductions, waste reductions, increased recycling, and increased overall environmental and safety awareness in all of our associates.

I received a B.S. in Biology from Bucknell University and when I started my career with Adhesives Research in 1999, I was the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) coordinator. Since then I have progressed to EHS Group Leader to EHS Manager and now Environmental Affairs Manager.

My journey with Adhesives Research began in 1998 as a slitter/web handler. I came to AR because not only did I need a job, I also wanted an opportunity to make more money and grow. I found out the people were great, the work was interesting and I had opportunities to learn more each day. The plant is air conditioned, which is a big plus. The company also offered good benefits. Until working here, I did not have that. I have been promoted twice and continue to learn new things all the time.

I started my career with Adhesives Research because I wanted to work for a growth-oriented company that strived to be the best at what they did. I first learned about AR during a Career Fair at the University of Pittsburgh where I graduated with a Bachelors of Applied Science (BAS) in Chemical Engineering.
