Adhesives Research is an exceptionally versatile player in the custom adhesive tape market with core competencies in all major classes of pressure-sensitive adhesives—acrylic, rubber, and silicones. We also have competencies in formulating adhesives with various types of conductive materials. A combination of these capabilities is now enabling us to participate in energy storage, a key market segment of the future. Our conductive adhesive platforms, with different chemistries and fillers, play a key role in all forms of energy storage, especially solid-state and conventional lithium ion batteries, where compatibility with liquid and polymer electrolytes is a critical challenge.
