Developer of next generation genome sequencing platform was using a slow, heated lamination step using polyimide to create their flow cell consumable.
Solution
AR developed ARcare® 94146 double coated pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape, which provided equivalent bond strength to the polyimide. AR further developed a converted product with a thick release liner to enable precise die cutting and flow cell manufacturing.
Result
AR’s PSA tape could be processed at room temperature with high speeds lowering the cost of the flow cell and protecting temperature sensitive components.
