Platform Release Liners
Customizable silicone-coated liners for converting and adhesive film support applications
Defining high-precision release for converting operations
Product Overview
We apply solvent-free, platinum-catalyzed silicone coatings, either thermally cured or UV-cured, to polyester films in clear or white. These coatings deliver precise release forces ranging from easy to tight, tailored to your specifications. Our platforms are available in single-sided or double-sided formats, and we can integrate alternative substrates such as metalized or printed films when your process requires it.
Each liner is designed to maintain consistent release performance across large rolls and from lot to lot, minimizing variation in converting lines. The coatings are formulated for negligible silicone transfer to adhesives or backing films, preserving downstream adhesion and printability performance.
We also offer the ability to apply additional solvent-less release chemistries or adjust release strength to suit your specific adhesive system and substrate interface.
Custom Support Built Around Your Process
Your converting environment, adhesive chemistry, and substrate composition are unique. We work closely with your engineering and operations teams to match or refine release coatings for your application requirements. Our team can test release behavior under simulated converting conditions, adjust substrate options, or provide sample liners for evaluation.
When standard solutions do not fully meet process needs, we can produce custom release films, metalized or printed, to align with both functional and branding requirements. With production and technical support centers in North America, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, we provide localized collaboration for qualification, process integration, and ongoing performance optimization.
Implementation and Technical Guidance
For best performance, match liner release strength to your adhesive system with guidance from our technical specialists. Store release liners at approximately 70°F in low humidity to maintain consistent performance. During trials, monitor unwind behavior, ensure clean die cuts, and check for silicone transfer or adhesive contamination. We offer pilot testing and process support to confirm performance under your operating conditions.
