Specialty Release Liners – NEW

Engineered silicone and fluorosilicone liners for sensitive medical, pharmaceutical, and electronic applications.
Reliable release performance for contamination-critical environments
When working with sensitive adhesives or precision electronic components, even microscopic silicone transfer can lead to contamination or product failure. Our ARclean® Specialty Release Liners are designed to meet the strictest cleanliness and extractables standards demanded by medical, pharmaceutical, and electronics manufacturers.
These high-performance release liners control silicone migration, surface energy, and release force to ensure clean separation without residue. Whether used for wound care dressings, diagnostic devices, semiconductor materials, or precision adhesive laminations, our liners provide stable, predictable release performance that protects product quality and process integrity.
Product Overview
ARclean® Specialty Release Liners are built for use in high-purity and contamination-controlled environments. We produce three distinct liner types to meet varying cleanliness and adhesive compatibility requirements:
Ultra-Low Extractable Silicone Liners
Designed for advanced electronic and semiconductor applications, these liners maintain less than 30 ng/cm² extractable silicones. They prevent contamination in ultra-clean assembly processes and provide consistent, easy-to-medium release forces. Our W-4010 and W-4013 grades are commonly used where even trace-free silicone levels can impact performance or yield.
Low Extractable Silicone Liners
For processes where virtually zero silicone transfer is tolerated, our low extractable liners minimize “loose” silicone and ensure near-zero migration. W-4008 is ideal for medical, pharmaceutical, and optical film applications where adhesive bonding or printability could be compromised by free silicone.
Fluorosilicone Release Liners
These liners provide clean release for silicone-based adhesives and coatings. Used as secondary or lay-in liners, they are particularly suited to applications in medical device production, electronics assembly, and other settings where controlled release of silicone materials is required.
All ARclean® Specialty Release Liners are manufactured using solvent-free processes and platinum-catalyzed chemistries to deliver uniform coating, low extractable levels, and precise release force control.
Custom Support Built Around Your Process
Every sensitive application requires precise matching between adhesive chemistry, liner coating, and process conditions. We collaborate closely with your formulation and process teams to identify the right liner specification for your system, whether targeting extractable limits, adhesive compatibility, or peel strength consistency.
Our testing laboratories can measure silicone transfer, extractable levels, and surface energy performance to verify liner suitability for your process. If standard products do not meet your cleanliness or release profile requirements, we can develop custom coatings or base films tailored to your substrate and adhesive system.
Implementation and Technical Guidance
Select a liner grade based on adhesive chemistry, process temperature, and release force target. Maintain storage at approximately 70°F in a clean, low-humidity environment to preserve coating stability. During testing or production, monitor peel force, surface energy, and silicone transfer using standard ASTM and TAPPI methods. Our technical specialists can support you through sample evaluation, line trials, and full process qualification to confirm optimal liner performance for your system.
