ARclad® Non-Repulpable Splicing Tapes use engineered backing materials such as PET, polypropylene, or other films and specialty adhesive systems (rubber-based or acrylic) tailored for adhesion on low surface energy and coated surfaces. This combination provides strong bond strength even under high-speed tension and in elevated temperature zones.
These tapes resist softening, slippage, or lifting across fluctuating process conditions. Their film-based backings provide dimensional stability and smooth surface profiles, ensuring consistent passage through rollers, dryers, or laminators without foldover or distortion.
We offer multiple constructions—single-face, double-face, ladder, tab, and butterfly styles, to support a broad variety of splice types, including flying splices, overlap splices, core starting, and finish splicing. Implementation and Technical Guidance
To obtain optimal adhesion, surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or release agents. Apply firm, uniform pressure during tape placement to ensure full contact. Store the tapes in a cool, stable environment (around 70°F) to maintain adhesive integrity. Before full-scale deployment, we recommend line trials to verify splice strength, temperature resistance, and compatibility with your substrate and process conditions.
